Tim Kubart’s Really Real You show, a full-band musical experience crafted for families, features sing-along songs, tap dancing, and heartfelt storytelling. Through a joyful, interactive journey, Tim and the Space Cadets help kids understand complex emotions like guilt,empathy, and resilience. The show encourages young and all to embrace their true selves and develop essential coping skills, all wrapped up in a dance and confetti party!
Tim Kubart is a GRAMMY Award-winning children’s artist, television host, and songwriter with nearly 20 years of experience creating music and media for families. His inspiration began while volunteering at a women and children’s shelter in New York City during college, where an impromptu circle time began the foundations of a joy filled career.
Tim won the 2016 GRAMMY Award for Best Children’s Album for his original album HOME and was nominated again in 2018 for BUILDING BLOCKS. Known for his catchy pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics, Tim’s music is a favorite on SiriusXM Kids Place Live.
Tim also hosted Sunny Side Up, a preschool show on Sprout, LIVE from 30 Rock, earning two Emmy nominations. He co-hosts Highlights Hangout, a podcast from Highlights Magazine, and is the author of the children’s book Oopsie-Do! published by HarperCollins.
His songwriting credits include Sesame Street favorites like “We Can All Be Friends,” featuring Julia, the first Muppet with autism, Cocomelon, Netflix, and PBS.
As a cultural ambassador for the U.S. Embassy, Tim has performed and taught in Kenya, China, Nigeria, and throughout the Caribbean; and is the only American children’s artist to perform in Mogadishu, Somalia.
He’s also known as the “Tambourine Guy” from the viral collective Postmodern Jukebox, bringing his energetic performances to sold out audiences around the world.
Tim’s current project, Really Real You explores themes of resilience, self-acceptance, and embracing one’s true self through interactive music and storytelling. Joined on stage by the Space Cadets, world class musicians, and a crowd favorite tap dancer, the show is a culmination of Tim’s dedication to creating meaningful, joyful experiences for families. Really Real You is a celebration of self-expression, resilience, and the power of music, honesty, and vulnerability, to bring people together. For families to feel more connected to each other, and young people to feel more connected to themselves.
