
Our community has placed City Opera House into the center of the quality of life in northern Michigan and into a unique position among opera houses built more than a century ago. City Opera House offers a wide array of performance and arts education programming and is available for everyone to use.
The BEYOND TOMORROW Campaign enables City Opera House to improve and sustain its service in several important ways:
- Deliver effective new arts education programs to thousands of learners in our community.
- Upgrade the performing arts series with greater reach and appeal by presenting a variety of artists that encourage diverse audiences and attract families.
- Improve the visitor experience by upgrading presentation equipment and furnishings in the historic performance venue.
- Secure a financial base that sustains excellent programs and services for years to come.
City Opera House seeks to raise $3 million by June 2022 to accomplish these goals.

The BEYOND TOMORROW Campaign has been in its leadership (quiet) phase and became a public campaign in late November 2021.
As of February 2022, foundations, businesses and individual contributors have given or pledged more than $2.7 million to BEYOND TOMORROW: The Campaign for Your City Opera House.
